New Year and new rules.

Hello everyone that reads this blog I thank you for making this one of my highest viewed blogs I have.  I never thought I that my concept for a fantasy video game would be read by so many.  Recently I have been playing Rune Scape 3 and their is a couple of ideas I would like to use but have not figured out how yet but I plan on soon.  Next year I plan to describing the guilds and get more ideas about the game out their.  Also I plan to post the game sequence that I have plan for the game and yes it is more than just 3 games when I posted early on when I started this idea.  Well I wish you all a Happy New Year and see you all on the other side.

Save vs Death

For many games saving the game before a difficult problem is the best way to get past it quickly and without losing much.  What if you could not save before that?  The only way to do it is do it or read about it on a gaming info page.  For my game I am thinking about no save, their will be way to quit the game and start where you where.  The only problem with this is that people will play more rogues to beet the game instead of playing fighters and mags. So I should make sure that the game is not more difficult for mages and fighters.  I am working on an idea like when you die you will fight death itself to come back to life to complete the game, but every time you do this the fight against death get harder. 

Their is so much I need to think about their is still the fast traveling thing I need to deal with but I think I have something that will work and people will like.

Ghost

So I have been thinking about how to get ghost into the game, because undead, vampires and werewolf are easy. For the ghost I am thinking their are 2 stages to the ghostly form, first is you are transparent but you look like yourself.  The 2 stage is a figure with no facial texts, no legs and transparent white.  At this moment I am thinking that time will be the factor between the two stages but that is the thought right now.  The ghost do live in the world and can be fought for experience, but the only come out at night and in towns that are dead or old ancient places. This is my thoughts at this very moment and hope you all like it and had a nice holiday.  I do plan to get the rest of these post up soon as I can including vampires and werewolf origins.

Skills

I have been thinking about the skill system for a long time now trying to make the best system I can make.  So I have decided that it will be a skill tree type system and each class will have access to certain skill right away.  Each class will have certain fighting skills which are needed for the abllilties that the player can get but all classes will have access to general skills to help them through the game.  Here are the fighting skills for each class and last will be the general skills.

So to get into the combo classes you will need to use up atless 2 skill points to get a skill outside your which you will be able to get if you talk to someone from the group like if you are a fighter and want to join the Paladin order someone will tech you something about magic and then you can get in to the class.  I might be thinking about this to much but this is what I have right now and I hope you all like it.

Magic Items

In the world their will be magic items but to create them does not exist yet.  Mages have spent many years studying the items and how they are created but their has not been any connections.  Each item draws its power from the 3 parts of reality and that is how the item has power.  The smiths that create these items have no magic background or any magic in their blood.  So their are a few magic items but since no one knows how to create them it will take some time to discover.  I am thinking in the 4th game mages will come up with how to create magic items and the world will be a little bit scared that the mages have this power.

Reality

Reality it is a tricky concept for many to grasp for my game it will be easy.  Long ago reality was made of four different parts Divine plane, Dead plane, Dream plane and the Hell plane.  As time went on the Divine plane got moved to part from the other 3 planes and can only be reached by the Dream plane.  This happened just before the First Great War when the Divine beings left and did not give any favors.  Maybe someday the Divine plane will return to its original place and may things will change when that happens.  This is what reality is for the game and it will play a very important part to the game, how it will be discovered later.

Types of maps

In video games their are many types of maps the biggest two are open and controlled.  Open world allows you to move freely around a map and you can do a lot the best example is Elder Scrolls.  I like this type of map because it is always fun to go somewhere different every time.  Controlled maps allows you to see a lot but you can not go to though areas.  Some games do this well like Dragon Age but that is squad type fighting.  Maybe that is something to think about too, most squad type video games have controlled maps and most single player have open.  What do you all think?  How should I think about my maps for this game?  Any input will be welcomed.

Ledgends

Warrior in stone
           Long ago during the First Great war Hell brook open and the world was nearly destroyed because of it.  In a little village near the frost plains on a hill over looking the village stood a Hell warrior ready to destroy it.  A couple of mages and fighters fought the warrior for many hours until one mage sealed the warrior in stone.  Now and until the end of time as long as one of his sons is still alive.  In the 3 games the character will have a chance to free the Hell warrior and have him join their team.

                                                Long ago there was a child that always did what he was told for people that where weaker than him and could not hold their own.  At a young age the boy watched his parents die for no reason and the last word on his father’s lips were “Doing not become like us. Find your own path.”  After that event the boy learned may different skill to help him find his own path, but he shortly got in with the wrong crowed.  Then he meet the Warrior of Honor and it did not go well they dueled and both where almost equally matched but Warrior of Honor won.  The Warrior of Honor offered the Warrior of Pain to help him save the world from the Underworld of Dark Gods.  Then he meets the other two warriors and they were off to fight the armies of the Dark Gods.

                                                In the world of the elves their lived a child with a mind like no other.  His parents were simple folk not trying to be anything but happy.  The child learned very fast and also developed ideas that could help different people in the world.  At an early age the boy went to the monastery so he could help more people that need it.  This is where he meets the Warrior of Honor that was trying to create a force to fight the Dark Gods.  Sadly the monastery as a whole did not want to go but the boy sad yes to the offer to save everyone.  As the boy waited for the other to come to the cause he worked on different projects which he used in the fight with the Dark Gods armies.

                                                In the great kingdom of the dwarvs lives a woman that dreamed of becoming the strongest fighter, but the dwarven women were not allowed to learn anything about fighting.  So she learned in secrete with her father and she became strong very quickly.  Her father was famus for two weapon fighting and she picked up that skill really fast, so fast that she learned to wield two great battle axes.  The woman decides on the next tournament she would fight with a mask so no one could tell and she won the whole thing.  The Warrior of Honor was their trying to find people to help him fight the Dark Gods and offered her the chance to kill more challenging enemies or she would be sent to jail for the rest of her life.

                                                In the world of man lived a knight that did not have planned to be great but to do his best to make the world a better place.  The knight had many good missions under his belt and when the Dark Gods came to the world he was chosen to get a band of people to fight this darkness.  So he traveled across the land trying to get people to help him and he met the first warrior with a mind like no other.  Then he met the man with so much pain in his heart it was sad and lastly met the impossible female dwarf with weapons as big as his own sword.  They traveled to the Dark Gods armies and fought like they have not fought before until they got to the gate where the Dark Gods where sending their warriors.  Sadly the only way to seal the gate was to have two people offer their lives to close it.  First the knight said he would do it but before he could finish speaking the elf and the man of pain stepped forward to do it.  The man of pain turned to the knight and said “Remember what we are doing.  The man that hates the world and the elf that wants to save it are both doing what is needed.  Take our weapons and remember.”  As both of them offered their lives to the gate.  Soon after the event the knight married the dwarf and where given lands to rule over.

First 2 Guilds fighting type.

This blog is going to be about the guild in better depth and how they are part of the world.  The Monastery is where the mighty paladins train and become stronger.  The mighty order was founded during first great war where soldiers and knight where able to use magic in the most heavy armor.  History says that the elves where the first to create this order and after the first great war allowed other race to join them.  Histun was the elf that created the paladin order and the perpuse of the order is to fight evil and protect the innocent with might and magic.  The order is lead by multiple Knight Commanders that are represented by each race that is known in the world. During the human expansion the paladins fought against as the world was falling apart.  For the last 500 years the paladins have been fighting evil in all its forms, but some of the humans are starting to believe that magic needs to be controlled.  They have come to the realization from happened in the human expansion war.
The Temple is where monks of old train and became great warriors.  This order was formed by Hendor a human that discovered a fighting style that did not need armor or weapons.  During the battle of frost hill Hendor came from the north and insuring that the opposing armies where on either side Hendor attacked anyone that got in his way.  Each general noticed that this man was able to defeat their troops including the soldiers on each side.  Hendor later had many people wanting to learn his fighting style and then opened his Temple for people who wish to learn.  At the time of Hendor's death the temple housed thousands of students and 2 other well trained fighters.  When deciding who would be their head master the 2 had a sparing match to prove their straight.  The first fighter was a human named Tusome was well skilled in fist fighting and the other fighter was a elf named Shenfi and was skilled in kicking fighting.  The sparing match lasted many hours until they both discovered that each style was equal and they would share that power.  The first great war ended 20 years later after this great sparring match and with it many disputes where settled with sparing matches.  At the end of the human expantion a new sub group was formed to help keep the piece and they are called the Order of the Fist.  This new order discovered a was to combinded magic and unhand combat into one.  After writing this I just do not know how to add idles to the order yet i just do not know maybe in time I will come up with the answer soon.

Classes

Classes and skill are going to play a part to the game experience first off being guilds in the game.  Each guild will represent at less a class and depending on what skills and class you choosen in the beginning you can be in one or more guilds.  There are 6 guilds in the world Monastery, Temple, Assassins, Thieves, Bard and Magic.  Monastery is where the paladins live and train everyday and the paladins have been around since the middle of the first great war when soldiers tried to be more effective with magic.  The human paladins are call templars.  Temple is where monks and the order of the fist live, well monks can trace back their origins to before the great war but the order of the fist is a new order after the elven rebellion.  The order of the fist are specialized monks that have learned to combined magic with fighting.  The order has 5 subgroups life death war peace and fate and each of these are unique in their own right.  Assassins have been around since people wanted to kill other people for many different reasons.  This guild can be found in the most unique place in the world in a graveyard but you need a password to enter but you must prove you can kill first.  The great guild of the thieves has been around since the beginning like most of the other guilds.  Their nothing spiecal about this guild but the rummer is some of the good in a couple of major cities.  The bards guild is a simple place to have your character learn to support other team members and win all your battles.  Lastly is the mages school where players can learn more about magic and become better at casting it.  The mages school has been around ever since magic was discovered in the world and every race has agreed that people should learn more about magic.  But the human paladins believe magic needs to be controlled and placed in chains, thankfully only a hand full believe this.
So I have decided who the class and skill system will work you will pick a class in the beginning fighter, rouge or mage.  Every level you will recievc one skill point to spend on any skill and their will be spacific skill that need to be leveled up to gain special attacks.  Each skill will have its own skill tree to make it more interesting and to add depth to the game.  I still have work to work on this but right now this is the best idea I have right now and a update to this will be made when I have a better idea or concepts I want to add to it.  Also I am trying to not copy Dragon Age 1 or Elder Scrolls 5 I believe that if we could combined these ideas to make a better game.  Hope you all like these ideas and more about this game will be posted soon.

The other races

This blog is about the other races and their origons.
Orcs are a genetic creation made during the human expansion to claim the whole land.  A creator developed the orcs by combinding goblin DNA with human DNA in a interesting pattern so that it was stronger than any human and the speed of the goblins.  At the end of the expansion the orcs where static and unorganized till a orc called Ulsen who united the orcs in a tribal format.  In the great plans of Suries their lives the only orc tribe in the world with a population of 100,000 and growing these orcs do not care for buildings and  organizations of other races.  The orcs share an uneasy alliance with all the races, with the humans they hate the buildings, the elves they hate the trees because it is so hard to know where they are at any moment, with the dwarvs its the case of no open sky.  For the Lizard folk of the Ensurus Swamp the orcs have a great alliance.
Lizard folk are also a genetic creation during the expansion but they fought against the humans with the other races.  The lizard folk where created to breath underwater so when attacking human cattles had mults and had enters underwater.  No one really knows who or how the lizard folk where create but they live in the Ensurus Swamp.  Unlike the orcs they live in building but these building are made of trees of the swamp, but they share a similar hierarchy.  A better name for them will come at a later date.
Goblins are are creates that live in the upper part of the mountain range south east of the human empire.  Rumers are goblins are deformed humans that live in caves of the mountains because they where the criminal insane.  Their is no prof of this because goblins did not keep very good records of their past but some caves you will explore might suggest this.
Dragons are a very unique race because they where around since the beginning of time itself.  Old kids stories say that dragons are born from the greed of man.  The dragons live at the pecks of the mountain ranges being worshiped by the kulbolts which are deformed dragons that where not birthed right.  No one know how the dragons and kulbolts survive the cold but these creaters are not seen very often until now.
The Treefolk and the Pixies are around since the beginning far south of the Suries plans in a forest called Hadish.  Nothing much is known about this ancient forest but it is home to more than just the trees and pixies.  Many explorers have entered the forest and many have never returned or if they have they where changed forever.

Well for now that is every race you can play in this video game I want more but I do not know what I can add or where I can place them.  Hope you all like where I am taking this game.

The Concept and races

This is the video game I am coming up with which is an open world RPG with different openings for different races and classes.  Unlike Elder Scrolls the character will have a past that you can fight for or disregard it and become your own person.  Their will be plenty of different races but for the first game you will be restricted to only 5 of them but right now it is a working progress.
 Human, elves and dwarvs are the major races and their true story is very simple.  Long  time ago when the world was young their was a create that walked on 2 legs.  This create covered the whole main continent in a very large trible structure.  Surprisingly this create brook into 3 different sud create because they all wanted to do something different.  One group wanted to live in the woods and be closer to nature, the other wished to live underground to supply rare minerals for people to use and the last one thought their is only one god in the world and temples need to be built.  For millions of generations these 3 sud spicies started to grow further and further apart till they where their own seperate races.  Nothing of this pass actually exits in the world which I want to fix but I do not know how yet
The other races that I am playing with are Lizard-folk, Kolbolt, Giants, Dragons, goblins, Pixies, Treefolk and banches which I plan on working on a little bit more since most these creaters need nixing up.

This game has right now 3 installments, first the battle with nature, next battle with creation and finally battle with Hell.  The first will deal with the world many years after the great war that the humans and a sud race of elves that left the world divided.  You are the hero to save the world and with with your past to help you lead you to victory.  The next one will deal with a powered man mage trying take over the world with a new creation of his.  Finally Hell has reopened and you need to reclose it or the world you know it is gone forever.  These 3 will be in other blogs for the game.

Class are going to play an important piece to the game and it is in a working progress.  I want to do something of my own but I do like the Elder Scrolls 4 class style.  I just right now do not know what I need to do to change it up. These are the skills I wan to have but this can change
